Yas and Sam are about to be tested. The battle is about to be brought to them in a way which they would never have imagined. It will fracture their status quo and test them beyond anything they have seen before. In order to restore balance and peace, they will have to rethink what they thought was possible and impossible and re-question who their friends and foes are.
A city, shrouded from view, accessible only by a few via portal. In this realm, everyone can perform magic and there’s a police department that oversees the use. The people have been trapped there though, their pasts forgotten.
Yas and Sam stumble on a locked portal to this realm and attract the attention of someone who knows more. Very quickly they find themselves trapped, too. To escape, they have to help a police officer remember her past while figuring out the identity of the mysterious controller shaping their lives.
